We sometimes forget how powerful prayer is even when we faithfully pray and trust in the Lord. Sometimes we pray without thinking but the Lord is always listening and willing to answer your prayers. A lot of times prayers don’t get answered in our time, but the Lord knows when and how to implement it in this life and the next. (Habakkuk 2:3)
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
Prayer is a great source of strength when we go through the troubles of life. When problems occur, I would go to my mom, best friend, or my pastor for guidance and help; but there is a special peace and comfort praying to my Father in Heaven.
Prayers require us to have patience. When we pray for something, that doesn’t mean the next day we will receive it. The Lord loves someone who humbles himself to come before Him and wait for His answer. It might take a day, it might take a month, or years, it doesn’t matter; as a Christian we must have patience and trust in the Lord, that’s why it’s called faith.
In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. (John 16:23-24)
He enjoys constant communication. Like a good parent, teacher, or best friend; they are always willing and enjoy hearing from you, so it is the same way with Adonai, the Lord most High.
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
There have been many times where I would earnestly pray to the Lord and I know from the Word of God that He is listening. So when you pray know that you can talk directly to him. You don’t need to go through any other mediators because The Word, Jesus Christ, came as flesh, died for your sins, and rose so He can give you grace, and be your one and only Mediator.
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)
One thing you have to know is that God wants an earnest heart, someone who prays with supplication. When I pray, I pray like He is right there next to me like a best friend. God wants us to talk to him with all our heart. For many years I have been praying for my hopelessness and emptiness to go away. and the Lord has answered my prayers. He has given me a beautiful, smart, and God fearing woman. (Proverbs 18:22) Not only does He answer the big prayers but he also answers the small prayers as well.
Never be afraid to ask the lord for what you want and need. Our Lord is YAHWEH-JIREH, our provider, and that will never change. He has good plans for you, plans to give you Joy and Peace. (Jeremiah 29:11-13) So always keep a constant communication with him: pray with love and respect. Always remember that you are not alone and are always protected. Be steadfast with prayer and the Word of God because it is our connection with the Lord. So keep talking and learning because God loves an earnest heart.
